Flypower’s support for badminton clubs in Indonesia continues to expand. After Djarum, the club where Hariyanto Arbi is an alumnus, Flypower established a partnership with PB Tangkas Jakarta. This collaboration between Flypower and Tangkas began in 2015.

Flypower recognized the importance of PB Tangkas, as the club has a longstanding reputation for producing world-class players. Founded in Jakarta in 1951, Tangkas has consistently produced world champions. In fact, the club has produced 10 world champions, a record unmatched by any other club globally.

These champions include Verawaty Fajrin, who won the World Championship in 1980 in Jakarta, and Ade Chandra, who, along with Christian Hadinata, became world champions in 1980.

Other world champions from Tangkas include Icuk Sugiarto (1983 in Copenhagen), Joko Suprianto (1993 in Birmingham), Ricky Soebagdja paired with Gunawan (1993 in Birmingham), Ricky Soebagdja/Rexy Mainaky (1995 in Lausanne), Hendrawan (2001 in Seville), Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir (2005 in Anaheim, USA, and 2007 in Kuala Lumpur), and Liliyana Natsir with Tontowi Ahmad (2013 in Guangzhou).
